I am starting this blog in order to chronicle some of the hits and misses that come along with a do-it-yourself lifestyle. I love to tinker and create, you may love to watch me succeed and fail. I hope that my successes will be of benefit to you, and my failures will serve as teachable moments.

Some of the focus areas for this blog will be my new garden - it is literally not even set as to where in the yard it is going to go, my chickens - no coop (or chickens) yet, my rabbits (see chickens), the apple and pear trees that are in disrepair, and food. Other topics will include Fishing, Hunting, Politics and Construction.

I am sure there will be plenty to comment on and look forward to an active comment platform that will come later. I will post links and useful bits of information as I find or create them. For now please refer to Facebook and Twitter for comments on posts.

Hosting a New Years Eve party for my daughter and her friends. I am glad they are being good but I could be pulling my hair out at 2am. LOL

Had a hectic week with work and the blog got ignored. Not much has happened this week. We were able to agree on the barn placement and the possibility of turning one of the two sheds here into a greenhouse. But the shed and greenhouse locations have not been set. With a good day to burn we got through one-fifth of the trimmings on the property. So with snow in the forecast it may be a good day to burn again on Saturday.

Its cold now so the worms are going to have to come back into the house. The garage is well below 40 and may be for some time.
